I was referred to Publicis Sapient by a friend who was
working here for a while. He tried convincing me a couple of times to switch. But
I guess I was too comfortable in my previous company, and I did not give it an
actual thought. I always thought, why would someone want to disturb the peace
they are enjoying in their present organization and for what? Is the new
organization even going to be worth it? Somehow, my friend convinced me to just
sit for the interview and then decide if I want to join Publicis Sapient or
not.
I was honestly impressed with the way the interviewer tested
my skills and knowledge, and the interview was kind of challenging. Coming from
an Engineering background, all engineers like challenges and I can vouch for
it. Nonetheless, I cracked it. I was offered a better position and a pay
upgrade for which I would have had to wait for another year in my current
company. I accepted the offer and joined Publicis Sapient. My reporting office
was Publicis Sapient Gurgaon. Today it’s been 2 years and I must admit that
this decision of switching my company was indeed unplanned but the best I’ve
taken so far.
Publicis Sapient made me realize that while it is important
to have peace, life is also about facing challenges. It’s a brutal world out
there and if we don’t prepare ourselves accordingly, our competition will eat
us alive and it would certainly become difficult to make ends meet. Publicis Sapient
prepared me for the upcoming challenges of my professional journey by providing
extensive training and development programs. It also enhanced my inter-personal
skills by referring me for various personality development sessions which are
regular here.
There’s work and assignments, but I’ve never felt the
pressure of it due to it being equally divided amongst the team I’m a part of.
And just like me, all projects and all employees work here in a team. PublicisSapient has a great team culture which emphasizes on reducing the load by
sharing work and knowledge. Imagine the possibilities when several minds work towards
a single goal. The outcome has to be the best.
I’ve also enjoyed several benefits which were missing in my
previous company. To name a few, I really enjoy the comfort of working from
home at times when reporting to work is a problem. It allows you to be flexible
and at the same time doesn’t let work suffer. A win-win situation for everyone.
I also like the extensive medical and insurance cover which is unlike any other
medical cover you get in other companies. It really covers a lot of other
aspects which are generally missing in normal corporate policies.
I’ve seen tremendous growth opportunities here which, when
the time comes, I will reap the benefits of. A shout-out to the Management here
who keeps a close eye on everyone’s performance and reward accordingly. Otherwise
it’s actually difficult to justify performance amongst thousands of employees,
but so far Publicis Sapient has successfully cracked the code.
They say all great things in life happen by accident or are unplanned.
This small unplanned decision of switching the company proved to be the best
decision made by me so far.
