How My Onboarding Experience Went in Publicis Sapient | Publicis Sapient Employee Reviews

Joining a new organization is an anxious phase in our lives, where we go through various emotions and insecurities. Initial interactions with managers and people are necessary to smoothen the experience and create a comfortable work environment.

As organizations are adapting virtual onboarding, it can create a disconnect in new joiners if not done right. However, corporates are leaving no stone unturned to make the process easy for people.

Below is a list of a few things which stood out in the virtual onboarding process followed by Publicis Sapient:

1. According to an old Sapientrazorfish Gurgaon review, multiday onboarding sessions were introduced after the merger of SapientNitro and Razorfish. I am grateful for these interactive sessions as they were immersive and fun sessions. In my previous organization, the onboarding process comprised of an hour-long session with HRs. The rest of the day passed in form-filling alone on the desk.
2. During virtual onboarding, I was happy to see that 70 other people had joined along with me. During the sessions, we created a WhatsApp group for later catchup and queries. It was our onboarding HR's idea, which proved immensely helpful in the early days of joining. After almost six months, I am still part of that group because of connections made there.
3. I had three full-day sessions for HR processes, documentation, people policies, IT support system, client case studies, diversity and inclusion. I think that diversity and inclusion in the workplace and unconscious bias are relevant topics in the current times. 
4. I also had a dedicated learning plan for the first 90 days in the organization for holistic learning. I like the initiative and the detailed planning that went behind it. I also appreciate the weekly calendar reminders and dedicated training spread over three months for gradual immersion in the system.
5. During my second month in Publicis Sapient, I also had a candid session with the leadership team for general queries in Publicis Sapient.
