TURN SITUATION INTO OPPORTUNITY | CURRENT SAPIENT EMPLOYEE FEEDBACK
I’ve been working at Sapient Gurgaon for one and a half year now and I think it’s a reasonable time for my Sapient Gurgaon Feedback.
There have been instances which made me proud about my decision to join Sapient Gurgaon. At the same time, there have been incidents which really made me question my choice. What I mean to convey here is that in order to grow in this organization, you really need to be pro-active and on the right project. While there are some really amazing projects that gives you a chance to learn and showcase your capabilities alongside building a relationship with the client directly, there are some projects which aren’t as challenging. I mean they move at a tortoise pace and there are really no exposures as such. No chance to go on-site and no client interactions either.
When I had joined Sapient Gurgaon, I was put on such a project initially which was really frustrating but I did not loose hope. I used to kill my hours forcefully but I did not give up. I invested that free time in learning from my team. Its not like you know everything and there’s always something that you can learn from your teammates so yes, I learned a lot and started giving inputs in team meetings. This was noticed by my manager who started looking out for me in meetings thereafter.
That was the time when I changed things for myself and eventually, I was given much more challenging and interactive projects which really put me in the top gear. I was in meetings, presentations, negotiations and what not. I have never looked back since then and also realized that while It depends a lot on the company and your manager to decide the course of your journey in any company, It also depends on you to help them decide if you have the capability of turning a situation into an opportunity.
Now when I see fresh recruits, I see them getting irritated, I approach them and try to guide them that I’ve been in their spot and assure them that things will change if they want them to.
While I have no major complaints with Sapient Gurgaon, as even in times like these when the entire world is going through a tough time, Our management has been assuring us regularly about our job safety so I feel relaxed. Just a small request to the HR, if they are reading this, when the lockdown gets over and the regular life resumes, please improve the tea quality, rest everything is okay.
